When it comes to Oregon spring it can be tough to find those sunny afternoons that motivate you to work on the yard. I've come to find out that rain or shine those shrubs aren't going away without me.
When we bought this house, I had not realized how overgrown it was with shrubs EVERYWHERE, they were growing on top of each other. We needed to tame the beast ASAP.
These before pictures don't even do it justice because I never actually took pictures in the very beginning before we touched it. I soon realized that I needed to document the incredible transformation, so I started taking pictures.

(There were a lot more than just 4 garbage bags in the end-don't forget about multiple truck loads to the dump and a dozen more garbage bags. )
Now I have to mention that I could not have done this without the help of the Butterfield boys. Ben came up one weekend from school and worked on my yard the whole weekend he was here. It was amazing and so very much appreciated. Of course my loving husband was always there helping out and don't forget the Bill Butterfield-He gets things done!

We still have not completed the landscaping. We own a corner lot so we have yet to bark dust the side yard. The day that we did the front yard, we ran out of time and the bark dust yard closed before we were done. So hopefully soon we will complete it when the sun is shining.
Projects to come:
Painting our house. We are in the process of picking out a color and we are using the same contractors who painted the interior of our home.
